Leaf
collecting is a great activity to do in the fall and this turned out to be a
fun way to collect our leaves on one of our many leaf hunts! We used yarn and small
paper clips but I am curious how ribbon and/or larger paper clips would be. Let
me know if you try any different supplies. I had to help put the leaves on the
paper clips for the 2-4 year olds but older kids can add the leaves themselves.

Cut
yarn so it is a good length for a necklace.
String
paper clips on the yarn or better yet have the kids do it!
|
1.
String 10ish paper clips on a piece of yarn. Tie the ends of yarn together to
make necklace.
2.
Put the paper clip necklace on and set out for a leaf hunt! As leaves are
collected paper clip them to the necklace.
*More than one leaf can go on a paper clip. **Bring a pocket full of extra paper clips in case you need more. |

Easy and fun. You could also do this right before using the leaves for one of the other crafts you have posted. Just put a hold at the library on the books you suggested. Thanks!
