Sun Print Snowmen (Single Stem Idea)

How about another fun and easy snowman idea? This one is with one of my favorite things to do when I was a kid…Sun Print Paper! If you aren’t familiar with this paper, go get some and try it out. You create some sort of collage on the paper and then put it out in the sun and the items leave a print after you rinse it in water. We have used Sun Print paper to make nature collages, sea animal collages and name prints.

The Stuff
The FUN!
Sun Print paper (order online or get at Hobby Lobby – use your 40 percent off coupon)
Lids
Markers (or crayons or paint)
1. Use lids (or whatever you find circular) to make snowman on top of Sun Print Paper. It is important to arrange this out of the sun because the process starts happening as soon as the paper is exposed to the sun. I had the boys put their lids in the order they wanted first and then we added the sun paper.

2. Put in the sun for 2-5 minutes. You will see the paper lighten.

3. Remove and rinse under water. This step is important as it makes the image set! Let dry.

4. Use markers, crayons or paint to create snowmen/women. :)
