With Valentine’s last week it only seemed
appropriate that we do the letter H (for heart). Maybe you can grab some hearts on clearance and join in on the H-fun! We had a great time singing “h”
songs, cutting and painting hearts, going on a hippo and heart hunt and eating
some hot dogs!

What we did for the Happy Letter H?...
Made a Heart H ~ I
taught the boys how to fold a paper in half and cut half a heart and then
unfold – we would make a big deal every time we unfolded it to see how the
heart turned out. We also glued down conversation hearts and the boys ate quite
a few as well.
Books:
Books:
*Read Hide-and-Seek Hippo (Alpha Tales book) and The GH Book (Bob
Book Pre-Reader)
*Read many hippo books (there is just something about hippos
that makes for a silly book!) ~ The Hippo-not-amus, The Hiccupotamus, The Happy
Hippopotami and Hippos Go Berserk!
Activities:
*Played Hippo and Heart Hunt

love hunts and have many hippos because that was Roly Poly’s fave animal for a
while so everyone got him hippos. You could use anything that starts with an H!
Letter Formation:
*Made a body H ~ fun to do standing or laying down
